Gatorland

Located 15.7 miles, 19 minutes away.

Wild Florida

Blue Lake State Park

Located 57.5 miles, 1 hour 17 minutes away. 

In 1972, Blue Spring State Park became a State Park with the help of Jacques Cousteau after he filmed the episode called The Forgotten Mermaids. The same pristine beauty enjoyed by Florida’s earliest residents still can be seen today. Blue Spring State Park covers more than 2,600 acres, including the largest spring on the St. Johns River. Blue Spring is a designated manatee refuge and the winter home to a growing population of West Indian Manatees. During manatee season, which approximately runs from mid-November through March, several hundred manatees can be viewed atop the spring’s overlooks on cold days. An observation platform provides a view of the endangered mammals that gather at the spring during the cooler months of the year. r for the safety and comfort of the 72-degree spring.
